Pregnant 5 Days After Reversal Surgery!
We’re soooo very greatful for Dr Monteith. We have a 18 month old son and a one month old daughter. With out his magical hands we wouldn’t have either one.
We had looked into IVF, but that was way out of the question.
It just cost absolutely way too much!!!! So I posted on Facebook about checking it out. My friend had commented on my post telling me about Dr. Monteith. So I called and we set up the surgery after I submitted my records.
I had my reversal on June 5 of 2017. I knew I was coming into my cycle so we tried. Just 5 days after surgery we were pregnant. It took about 2 months for our second child to be conceived.
My husband and I are so blessed to have had such success so quickly. He is 39 and I’m 38. I was 36 when my reversal was done.
Patient age: 38

Trying To Decide, Tubal Reversal or IVF?
If you have had your tubes tied and want more children you have three options: 1) adoption 2) in-vitro fertilization (IVF) or 3) tubal reversal.
Most couples want a baby genetically similar to them. They will have to decide between IVF or tubal reversal.

The vast majority of people (including health care professionals) are not aware tubal reversal can be more affordable and more successful than IVF.
Many people mistakenly think IVF is a more successful and faster treatment than any alternative treatment.
Important facts about tubal reversal
- Every month you have a chance to become pregnant
- Each month you can become pregnant without needing a doctor’s treatment
- If the surgery works you can have more than 1 child (like the mom who submitted this testimonial)
- Tubal reversal with Dr. Monteith is HALF THE COST of a single cycle of IVF
- Tubal reversal with Dr. Monteith is TWICE AS SUCCESSFUL as a single cycle of IVF
- You can start trying to become pregnant as soon as you are ready
- Most patients become pregnant within the first year

Important facts about IVF
- You must pay for each IVF treatment cycle
- A single cycle may take 4 to 12 weeks to complete
- Higher chance of multiple gestation pregnancy (high risk pregnancy of twins or more)
- Each cycle is approximately 30% successful (half the chance of success as tubal reversal surgery)
- You must plan on having 3 cycles when you start if you want to see near 100% chance of success
- If the first cycle does not work you will be expected to pay for each successive cycle
- Some patients can have side effects from the high dose hormones
The simple fact is, “If the only thing standing in your way between having a baby is a tubal ligation procedure….then reversing tubal ligation will remove that barrier!”
If you have a history of infertility or loads of cash then IVF may be a better choice for you.
