What is a Rainbow Baby?
Dr. Monteith
Following the loss of our firstborn son to an umbilical cord accident in February 2014 and an early miscarriage in July 2014, we were able to conceive a third time, resulting in our beautiful baby boy born on May 26, 2015. He is our “rainbow baby” and has given us such love and light in a time of our lives that had been previously filled with only loss.
We will be forever grateful to A Personal Choice Tubal Reversal for the giving us that chance. We are so in love with our new little man and cannot thank you enough.
Patient age: 40

What is a Rainbow Baby?
What is a rainbow baby? A “rainbow baby” is a baby that is born after having a miscarriage or still birth.
A glorious rainbow typically follows a daytime storm and provides a symbol of hope things will get better. The sight of a rainbow is often more appreciated after a person has experienced a difficult storm.
The storm (pregnancy loss) has already happened and nothing can change the experience of a lost pregnancy. Storm clouds may continue to be overhead as the family copes with the loss, but something colourful and bright will often emerge from the darkness and misery of the storm.
A rainbow is a symbol of triumph and hope for a better future…a Rainbow baby provides testimony rewards often come after overcoming personal adversity.
