Getting Pregnant With One Tube
Our beautiful daughter, Emma Rose, was born May 6, 2015 weighing 8lbs 14oz!
Our journey has been filled with ups and downs, but we never stopped believing. Emma is proof that it only takes one tube to successfully conceive. (My right tube blocked due to cornual ectopic I experienced in the summer 2013. It was successfully treated with high dose methotrexate and I successfully avoided surgery).
Thank you Dr. Monteith and staff! We are truly blessed!

Can you get pregnant with reversal of one tube?
We are commonly asked by patients if they can become pregnant after reversing one tube. Our experience is pregnancy is very possible with one tube reversed.
Many women have one tube and have not had any difficulty conceiving and carrying a pregnancy to term. The most common reasons women have only one fallopian tube is because the other fallopian tube has been surgical removed because of scar tissue, large ovarian cyst, or an ectopic pregnancy. Many of these women with one tube will go on to have several successful pregnancies.
The patient who submitted this testimonial experienced a cornual ectopic pregnancy. This is a very rare variation of ectopic pregnancy. In an cornual ectopic pregnancy the pregnancy is located outside the uterus in the smallest section of the tube as it travels through the uterine muscle and opens up into the uterus.
Thankfully she was able to follow our Early Pregnancy Monitoring protocol and was able to have her ectopic pregnancy treated safely with medication.
This mother provides others with a personal testimonial pregnancy is possible after reversal and after having an ectopic pregnancy. She also proves pregnancy is possible…even with one tube!
