Many women will be told Essure is permanent and irreversible. Although Essure is intended to be permanent, Essure sterilization, like most other forms of tubal sterilization, can be reversed.
Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith of A Personal Choice were the first reproductive surgeons to report successful pregnancies after Essure reversal in the medical literature. These surgeons were the first to report and publish case reports describing successful Adiana sterilization reversal and Essure sterilization reversal.
