Remarks: I have since had my blood drawn twice. First blood test was taken June 11th. The results of HCG was 1600. Second time blood was drawn was on June 15th, it read 2800. Starting June 18th I was feeling cramping. Tuesday, the 19th, I took Tylenol to relieve pain. By Wednesday, the 20th, pain was pretty bad and I noticed a slight tinge of color on tp. Went to doctors immediately, they moved my ultrasound to that day. Discovered it was an ectopic pregnancy. I have one good tube, my right tube, since tubal reversal. Left was so scarred I was told it wouldn’t work. This pregnancy got stuck in my left tube. My doctor felt it best to completely remove my left tube after starting operation and seeing the damage. That way, also, insuring I don’t have a repeat ectopic pregnancy on the left side, and sparing me the heartache again. Wednesday, June 20th, my pregnancy was terminated by removal of my entire left tube.

Remarks: First day of last period was June 17th. I have been tracking ovulation through both my daily basal temp and an electronic ClearBlueEasy ovulation monitor — along with a test stick on the day of ovulation to confirm. Ovulation occurred on July 6th. I had some symptoms (fatigue, sore breasts) about a week after ovulation and did a home pregnancy test on Monday July 18th which had a positive result. I then contacted my doctor and had a blood test run that same day with an HCG level of 12. I am scheduled for a second blood test on Monday July 25th and subsequent blood tests every 48 hours thereafter leading up to the first ultrasound on August 2nd.

Remarks: Hi Dr. Berger, My last menstrual period was 6/7/2011. I started bleeding on Tue 7/5/2011 just like my usual period but was spotting and unusual. On 7/9 I had a positive pregnancy test. I started HCG test every 48 hours; that were 102, 180, 308, 580, then 4days later 1610 then 48hrs later on thurs 7/21 hcg 2208. I started bleeding heavy at the 580 hcg level & they did an ultrasound and of course saw nothing. I go between spotting and moderate bleeding since 7/5. The doctors office said to call to get my appt with radiology & the soonest radiology has an appt is 7/28 at 5pm, that is 7 days after the 2208 hcg reading. I told radiology it was extremely important, a suspected ectopic pregnancy. They said if anyone cancels they’ll call me in earlier being monday7/25 or on tues. I believe tue 7/27 I will be 7weeks & possible hcg between 3500-4000. Is it alright for me to wait for wed ultrasound appointment or very dangerous? Thank you.
