The first Tubal Reversal Sister of January of 2009 has had her baby! In January, we published a story about the Tubal Reversal Sisters of January 2009 (pictured from left to right): Lisa M, Lisa R, Christina, and April.
These four women met on the day of their reversal consultation and formed a lasting friendship after tubal reversal surgery. Christina was the first to become pregnant after tube reversal and below is her birth announcement…
Tubal Reversal: Journey
Readers interested in the formation of the January Tubal Reversal Sisters group can read the previous story about the sisters: Tubal Reversal Sisters: A Journey Together. An additional story featured another of the sisters and her husband: Tubes Reversed, Tubes Untied: Lisa Age 41.
As a result of the efforts of Tubal Reversal Sister Christina, these sisters found each other and bonded on the day of their reversal surgery consultations .
Christina starting seeking out the other women who were having reversal surgery the same day as she was by posting on the Tubal Reversal Message Board. After identifying each other on the message board they were able to meet at A Personal Choice and organize a group meal both before and after tubal reversal surgery.
Pregnancy After Tube Reversal
Pregnancy after tubal reversal does happen and two members of the group quickly became pregnant after tubal reversal surgery. Christina was the first to announce a pregnancy and April was a close second to have a pregnancy after tubal reversal. Christina was fortunate to have an intrauterine pregnancy; however, April experienced an ectopic pregnancy. She was able to save her tube by following the Early Pregnancy Protocol and receiving methotrexate treatment.
April, Lisa M, and Lisa R are still trying to become pregnant. It has been less than a year since tubal reversal surgery for these sisters and for some tubal reversal patients it does take both time and patience to have a pregnancy after a tubal reversal.
Conception After Tubal Reversal
Conception after tubal reversal quickly happened for Reversal Sister Christina. She became pregnant 23 days after her tubal reversal surgery! She was able to follow the Early Pregnancy Protocol and confirm the pregnancy was in the uterus and not in the tube. Her pregnancy went well and without any complications.
After Tubal Reversal: Baby
Christina gave birth 9 months after her tubal reversal. On Friday October 23, Christina gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Madeline, by vaginal delivery. She was healthy and weighed 8lbs and 1 oz.
The following is the birth announcement Christina ( message board sign on name Thomaspartyof7) sent to us:
Just a note to say that we have truly been blessed! On Friday October 23rd, Madeline Grace Thomas made her grand entrance into the world and is the joy of our lives! She weighed 8lbs 1oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. The labor was easy, I pushed about 15 minutes and only 7 times and she was out- no tearing or episiotomy! Words cannot explain the deep gratitude our family has for A Personal Choice, Dr. Berger, and staff for their part in making our dreams come true. We praise the Lord above most of all for our precious miracle baby, without his will and grace our Madeline would not be here. He has blessed Dr. Berger with a gift to restore women of their fertility and for that we are thankful. Our journey was wonderful, we made life-long friends with other tubal reversal patients and we will always hold CHTRC in our hearts. I will post pictures soon.
Love to you all,
Christina & Bob
Guess we are now Thomasparty of 8! LOL…
