Dear Dr. Monteith and everyone at A Personal Choice,
Today marks my one year tubal reversal anniversary! What a happy day! I just wanted to take a minute and tell you all thank you!
I am so thankful for God sending me your way. You guys are first class in your business.
Everyone treated us with such great kindness. My tubes were tied for almost two years and I remember having problems very early on and wrote it off as postpartum issues, but I knew I had never had bad issues like that with our other two children. Time went on and I just remember feeling like I was going crazy and I remember asking God to please show me what my problem was and I felt like He told me to search “negative side effects of a tubal ligation.”
When I did, I clicked on the link to your website. I was so thankful for all the information that I was able to read and the Tubal Reversal Message Board where women like me, were suffering and sharing their experiences. It was a great resource for me. I visited your board everyday if not several times a day just to reassure myself that I wasn’t going crazy.
I had just about every issue that is listed on that long list of Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome. On this first anniversary of my reversal I am doing almost 100% better. I do have some pms issues but nothing like it was before. I would have issues all month while my tubes were tied and now it’s just at that time of month and on a much lower level. On my tubal journey I have come in contact with many ladies that have or had their tubes tied a long time ago and they are experiencing or did experience PTLS and didn’t know it.
I tell my story whenever I can and then I send them to your website. This journey has been hard but I am thankful for it. It has changed me and I can help other women understand what they are dealing with too. I had an older lady in my church who asked me what I kind of surgery I was having and what issues I was having and when I told her she said “I thought I was just having a mental breakdown at that time in my life”. So now 30 some years later she can bring closure to that. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for what you do and keep doing it. Thank you Dr. Berger, even though I never met you, for making this the area of your study and practice all these years and God bless you on your writing about all the research you have done.
Thank you Dr. Monteith for performing my surgery and God bless you to keep doing what you do! Thank you to all the nurses, staff, and everyone that helped my husband and I on our day. Our time in Chapel Hill will never be forgotten. It was all such a great experience.
Thank you all again. God bless!
Sincerely,
Lindsay
