Following is her personal commentary about her decision to travel from England to have a tubal reversal surgery in the United States.
Tubal Reversal In England
I am traveling to America from England for my tubular reversal. When I tried to have a tubular reversal in England they refused to operate on me and they said it was not possible. I was very unhappy and I just had to have it done. I did more research and I found A Personal Choice in the United States.
Tubular Reversal Surgery In America
I looked at the reversal website every day. Their patient comments were very good. I phoned their nurses in America and explained everything to them. I cried when they told me my tubular could be reversed. I was so happy.
I scheduled my reversal date for March 29, 2010. I sent in all the forms as well as my medical notes. I had all the tubular reversal lab test done in England and had them sent to Dr. Monteith. I was very excited but also very nervous.
Sterilisation Reversal in United States
I was married for 15 years and after my last baby I was sterilised. It was not my choice and my husband made me feel I had to have a sterilisation. I lost the most wonderful part of me because I could no longer have any more babies.
When my youngest was twelve months old, I opened a beauty salon and became a business woman for five years. Sadly my marriage ended and I had to close my salon. I now have a new partner, Martin, who is very special to me. I love children and I love being a mom. This is what I enjoy. To hold Martin’s baby in my arms and to share the love of a new baby will be a dream come true. This is what I wish for. I know I will have my wish as I have come to the best hospital with excellent experience in tubular reversal.
Traveling to America from England, I never thought I would be brave enough to do this. Having this operation will make me happy and I can move forward with my life.

While traveling on the plane to America for my sterilisation reversal operation, I have realized these things are true about me:

I love being a mum
My family is very important to me
I have a new partner who is very special to me
I long to share the love of a new baby together
